2020 has arrived! A new year, a new decade. This year will feature the Olympic Games in Tokyo that will bring together millions of people with different origins.
The contrast between age-old tradition and modern lifestyle makes a trip through Japan so incredibly fascinating.
On the one hand the old temples, gardens, elaborated tea ceremonies and artistically designed kaiseki menus. The traditions and way of living of the Samurai and Geishas remain still influential today, and values such as respect, order, discipline and closeness to nature are firmly rooted in Japanese culture. On the other hand, we see huge department stores, hip fashion, electric cars, domestic robots, Tamagotchi, Pokémon and manga comics, while the Shinkansen trains are among the fastest and most punctual in the world.
A strong sense of tradition and heritage, coupled with an enthusiasm for all things new, are characteristic of the whole country.
In our daily work, we accompany people and organisations facing change processes, with whom we embark on new and innovative paths. Along the way, we are always determined to learn from the past as a means of shaping the future.
